5 Ways to Incorporate Music Into Your Daily Life
Emily Sweeney, Owner of Music Makers
Music and Movement is so important and can be so beneficial for all kinds of growth in those early childhood ages! They are constantly learning and observing all of the sounds, sights and life all around them! Music surrounds us every day whether you notice it or not and my goal is for your child to notice that music, the music of life! If you are looking for some fun and easy ways to incorporate music into your daily life look no further, below are 5 different ways to do so!
● Create a song for your morning or nighttime routine - one of our favorites is the brushing teeth song!
● Have a drawer or cabinet for Tupperware? Have a wooden spoon? Put them both together and you've got yourself a little band!
● Sitting at a red light in the car? Add a countdown song of your own to your drive and make it a little more fun (we always like to incorporate rocket ships or airplanes - something that goes fast!)
● Cooking dinner and little ones are hungry and want to watch TV? Put the music on and have a dance party! Or what's also fun is to create your own songs, something along the lines of what you're having for dinner or what you did that day!
● Get outside and go for a walk and make it fun by singing and moving! (We are walking, walking, walking, walk walk walk, walk walk walk, we are running, we are running, run run run, run run run, we are marching, we are marching, march march march, we are tip toeing, we are tiptoeing, shh shh shh, shh shh shh)
It is so much fun to watch your little one(s) grow in music and movement!
