Motivating Mom of the Month-January 2023: Arielle Markiewicz

"Arielle, it has been such a pleasure watching you grow into your mom role to two great boys. I am in awe of how motivated you are with your self-care. You inspire me each time when you choose the harder version of exercises. Perseverance prevails. Stay strong mama. Thanks for being a part of our tribe." -Shannon, Fit4Mom Franchise Owner

"Arielle is amazing! She works all day and makes a point to either come to a 5:30am class or an 8pm class! She gives it everything she’s got! Her cardio is so quick she’s blurry on the screen! I love to have her in my classes!" -Annie, Fit4Mom Instructor

Who are the members of your family and where are you originally from?

My husband, Brad, our 2 boys, Nathan who is 6 and Evan who is 4 and of course our cat Mittens. I am originally from Tampa, Florida.

When was your first Fit4Mom class and what do you remember about it?

My first class was 6 years ago when Nathan was a newborn. I signed up for the maternity package and I remember Shannon greeting me and making me feel so welcomed to the group. I met so many moms and some had kids the same age. They were so kind and I loved having other moms to talk to. I met some of my first mom friends through Fit4mom and I am still in touch with them. The workout was incredible too and I learned many new songs to sing:)

Where can we find you? What is your Fit4Mom routine these days?

Because I work full time away from home you will find me at the early morning or evening virtual classes. They are super challenging and fun to do while at home. I recommend everyone to join us!

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?

I am the head of the counseling department at a local high school.

What are 3 of your favorite things?

The beach, my family, and strawberries

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?

If possible I would lay out on the beach while drinking a cocktail, getting a massage, mani, and pedi :) Since that probably isn't possible I would love a day date with my husband or some alone time shopping or at the spa.

What has being a mom taught you?

Wow so much! To have so many feelings about your kids all of the time and that it is okay. Whether it is love or frustration I am so happy to be a mom to my boys.

What is your funniest or most embarrassing mommy moment so far?

I am sure there have been so many but the other day my 4 year old and I were driving in the car and he said "Move your tushy, cars!" I quickly asked, "Where did you learn that? " to which he replied, "you mommy!" :)

Any words of wisdom for other moms?

I like the mantra "This feels hard because it is hard, not because I'm doing something wrong." We are amazing mamas in this community and just being able to talk with other moms is so helpful.

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? What would you tell someone thinking about joining?

It truly is a community with moms who care about exercising, supporting other moms, and love their kids. There are so many options to try and they all challenge you differently- definitely give it a try!
