Motivating Mom of the Month-March 2023: Kelly Hendricks

"I met Kelly during a lull in our attendance. I remember her first class was with me and Louise C. Kelly didn’t miss a beat. In it for the long haul. I was impressed with her energy and tenacity - well, I still am! She signed up on the spot and has been an eager self-care participant ever since.

She also attends our virtual offerings quite regularly which is quite amazing. And she does all this while also getting her CPA license. Like what?? Can’t believe her little man is almost 8 months old already. He was just a wee babe when we first met. Kelly - keep up the great work!!!" -Shannon, Fit4Mom Franchise Owner

"Kelly!! She is always getting her glow on for Saturday classes with sweet Winston. She has a positive, warm spirit and I always enjoy chatting with her in between stations. She is strong and encourages her husband to keep up when he tags along for some classes too! She is good people and a great mama." -Genevieve, Fit4Mom Instructor

Usually at STC for strides in Saturdays and love the Monday night classes as well!

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?

I'm a senior accountant working in audit for PBMares

What are 3 of your favorite things?

Reading

Ice cream

Driving with the windows down & singing

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?

It's a little lame but read a book or do a puzzle, uninterrupted

What has being a mom taught you?

Go with my gut and try not to take others parenting "advice" personally. We're all doing the best we can

What is your funniest or most embarrassing mommy moment so far?

I was holding Winnie up above me and he vomited - mostly missed my face but he got my forehead a little and my chest was covered.

Any words of wisdom for other moms?

Have patience with yourself and give yourself grace - you are doing your best and as long as you love that baby, it'll be okay

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? What would you tell someone thinking about joining?

The community - everyone is so welcoming and we're all in the same general season of life. It's been wonderful learning from other moms, especially since I lost my mother before Winnie was born.
