"Jen always has interesting stories to share about her life. There is never a dull moment when it comes to mothering her little cutie Miss Eloise. Jen’s calm demeanor and welcoming personality are a great added value to our Burke community. She works hard and gives no less than 100%" -Shannon, Fit4Mom Franchise Owner
"Jen is such a joy to have in class! She works hard and sets a great example for her daughter about self care." -Alicia, Fit4Mom Instructor
Who are the members of your family and where are you originally from? There is my partner Stephen, or Doc, as I call him, our daughter, Eloise (Elle) and my first baby, our pup, Zoey. Doc and I both grew up in Warrenton, VA.
When was your first Fit4Mom class and what do you remember about it? My First class was actually with another franchise. I was so nervous. It was my first mommy and me activity when Covid restrictions were loosening. My first class at Burke Lake I was intimidated by how large the class was.
Where can we find you? What is your Fit4Mom routine these days?
I try to make it to the Burke Lake classes
What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)? I was a photographer with my own business precovid. But since I had Elle July 2020, we kept postponing me going back to my contracts. I ended up taking a part time, work from home on my own schedule job as a recruiter/FSO with a government contractor so I could focus on Elle until she goes to school.
What are 3 of your favorite things? Coffee, Dark Chocolate and my Family
You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?
I wouldn't even know... read, sleep, date night?
What has being a mom taught you?
That you can have a plan, but have flexibility in it.
What is your funniest or most embarrassing mommy moment so far? Trying to hold a bathroom stall shut, while still using the facilities because Eloise decided she was done and didn't care I wasn't.
Any words of wisdom for other moms? Trust yourself.
What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? What would you tell someone thinking about joining? I've met some wonderful women. Sometimes the social aspect is more important than the workout.
